If your domain's DNS is managed in Cloudflare, you can connect it to your Mastermind Business Hub in a few minutes. The hub supports Cloudflare's automatic authorisation, so in most cases you will not need to type any DNS records yourself.
Before you start
Make sure the domain is already active in your Cloudflare account (it shows as "Active" on the Cloudflare home screen).
Have a funnel or website ready in Funnels & Pages so you can point the domain at it. You can also connect the domain first and pick a funnel or website later.
Keep the hub and Cloudflare open in two browser tabs.
Option 1: Connect automatically (recommended)
In the hub, go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.
Click Connect a Domain.
Choose what you want the domain to be used for, such as a funnel or website.
Type your domain (for example
yourdomain.comorwww.yourdomain.com). If you enter the www version, you will be offered the option to add the root domain too. Say yes so both versions work.Click Continue. The hub recognises Cloudflare and shows an Authorize button. Click it.
A Cloudflare window opens. Log in if asked, confirm the domain, and approve the connection.
Close the Cloudflare tab and return to the hub. The hub adds the DNS records for you and confirms the connection. The change usually shows within a minute or two.
Option 2: Add the DNS records manually
Use this if the Authorize button does not appear or the automatic connection fails.
In the hub, go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects > Connect a Domain, enter your domain, and choose the option to add records manually.
Leave this screen open. It lists the exact records you need: an A record for the root domain (
@) and a CNAME record forwww.In Cloudflare, click your domain, then open DNS > Records in the left menu.
Click Add record and create each record using the values shown on the Connect a Domain screen:
Type A, Name
@, IPv4 address: the value shown in the hub.Type CNAME, Name
www, Target: the value shown in the hub.
For each record, set Proxy status to DNS only (the cloud icon must be grey, not orange). This is the most common reason a Cloudflare domain fails to connect.
Click Save on each record, then return to the hub and click Verify (or re-open the domain) to check the connection.
Troubleshooting
Orange cloud. If any A or CNAME record for this domain is proxied (orange cloud), click it, switch Proxy status to DNS only, and save. This applies to records the automatic connection created as well.
Existing records. If Cloudflare already has an A, AAAA or CNAME record for
@orwwwpointing somewhere else (an old website host, for example), delete it. Two A records, or an AAAA record alongside the hub's A record, will stop the connection from working.CAA records. If you have CAA records in Cloudflare, they can block the hub's security certificate. Remove them or ask support for help.
Still "Pending". Cloudflare changes are normally fast, but allow up to 24 hours. If it is still pending after that, re-check every value against the Connect a Domain screen.
Secure padlock. The hub issues the SSL certificate automatically once the records are correct. You do not need to buy one.
Still stuck? Open the chat widget in the hub and our support team will help.
