If you bought your domain from GoDaddy, you can connect it to your Mastermind Business Hub so your funnels, websites and client portal load on your own web address. GoDaddy supports automatic authorisation, so most people can connect without touching a single DNS record. Note that this connects the domain; it does not move the domain away from GoDaddy, and you keep paying GoDaddy for the renewal.
Before you start
Log in to GoDaddy in one browser tab and the hub in another.
Make sure the domain uses GoDaddy's default nameservers. If you previously pointed the domain to another service (such as Wix or Cloudflare), the DNS lives there, not in GoDaddy.
Have a funnel or website ready in Funnels & Pages, or plan to pick one after connecting.
Option 1: Connect automatically (recommended)
In the hub, go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.
Click Connect a Domain.
Choose what the domain will be used for, such as a funnel or website.
Type your domain, for example
yourdomain.comorwww.yourdomain.com. If you enter the www version, you will be offered the option to add the root domain as well. Accept it so both versions work.Click Continue. The hub recognises GoDaddy and shows an Authorize button. Click it.
A GoDaddy window opens. Log in if asked, then click Connect to approve the change.
Close the GoDaddy tab and return to the hub. The hub adds the records in GoDaddy for you and confirms the connection, usually within a minute.
Option 2: Add the DNS records manually
Use this if the Authorize button does not appear, or if GoDaddy returns an error.
In the hub, go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects > Connect a Domain, enter your domain, and choose the option to add records manually. Keep this screen open: it shows the exact records you need.
In GoDaddy, click your name in the top right and choose My Products.
Next to your domain, click DNS (or open the domain and choose Manage DNS).
Under DNS Records, click Add New Record and create each record using the values shown on the Connect a Domain screen:
Type A, Name
@, Value: the value shown in the hub.Type CNAME, Name
www, Value: the value shown in the hub.Leave TTL at the default.
Click Save after each record.
Return to the hub and click Verify (or re-open the domain) to check the connection.
Troubleshooting
"Record already exists". GoDaddy creates a default A record for
@and a CNAME forwwwon new domains (often pointing to GoDaddy parking). Edit those existing records to the hub's values instead of adding duplicates, or delete them first.Domain forwarding. If you set up forwarding in GoDaddy, remove it under the domain's Forwarding section. Forwarding overrides your DNS records.
Two A records. Only one A record for
@should exist. Extra A records stop the connection from verifying.Still "Pending". Allow up to 24 hours for DNS changes to spread, although GoDaddy is usually faster. If it is still pending after that, re-check each value against the Connect a Domain screen.
Padlock / SSL. The hub issues the security certificate automatically once the records are correct. You do not need to buy an SSL certificate from GoDaddy.
