You can connect your courses to Automations so the hub handles enrolment for you. There are two pieces: the Course Grant Offer action gives a contact access to a course automatically, and the Offer Access Granted trigger starts a workflow the moment someone receives access. Together they let you enrol people, welcome them, and follow up without doing anything by hand.
Before you start
The offer must already exist. Go to Courses, open the Offers area, and create the offer you want to use. It can be free or paid. You cannot create an offer from inside a workflow.
If you want to send a welcome or login email, create that email template first under Email & Social Media so you can pick it in the workflow.
Part 1: Grant course access automatically (Course Grant Offer action)
Use this when you want a contact to get a course after something happens, such as a form submission, a purchase, or a tag being added.
In the left menu, click Automations and open an existing workflow or create a new one.
Set the trigger that should lead to enrolment (for example, a form submission or a specific tag being added).
Click Add Action and choose Course Grant Offer.
Give the action a clear name, such as "Grant access to Beginner Course".
Under the offer field, select the offer that grants access to the course.
Save the action.
Optional: add a Send Email action straight after it. Pick your welcome template and include the link to the course so the student knows where to log in. The hub does not send login details automatically.
Publish the workflow.
Good to know: if a contact already has access to that offer, the hub will not enrol them twice or reset their progress. Any later steps in the workflow (like the welcome email) will still run unless you add a condition to stop them.
Part 2: Start a workflow when access is granted (Offer Access Granted trigger)
Use this when you want something to happen every time someone gains access to an offer, no matter how they got it (purchase, manual grant, or another workflow).
In Automations, create a new workflow or open an existing one.
Click Add New Trigger and choose Offer Access Granted.
Name the trigger, for example "Premium Membership access granted".
Under the Offer filter, select the offer this workflow should respond to. Without this filter, the workflow runs for every offer.
Save the trigger.
Add your actions. Common choices: send a welcome email with onboarding details, notify your team so they can check in, or add a tag so you can see who is enrolled.
Test with a sample contact, then switch the Publish toggle on.
Tips
The Offer Access Granted trigger fires every time access is granted, including repeat grants. If a contact could receive the same offer more than once, add a condition (for example, check for a tag) so they do not get duplicate emails.
You can combine the trigger with others, such as Tag Added, so one workflow handles several entry points.
Use If/Else steps to vary what happens based on tags or pipeline stage.
Troubleshooting
The offer is not in the dropdown: confirm it has been created and saved under Courses, then refresh the workflow page.
Access was granted but the workflow did not run: check that the workflow is published and that the Offer filter matches the exact offer the contact received.
The student did not get a login email: the grant action does not send one on its own. Add a Send Email step after it.
