An email campaign is a one-off email you send to a group of contacts, such as a newsletter, a launch announcement, or an invitation to a live call. This guide walks you through building the email from a template, testing it, and sending or scheduling it.
Before you start
Make sure your sending email is set up under Settings > Email Services, so your campaign goes out from your own name and address.
Know who you want to email. If you want to send to a specific group, add a tag to those contacts or build a smart list under Contacts first.
Have your copy and images ready. Images can be uploaded as you build, or in advance under Media Storage.
Step 1: Pick a template
In the left menu, click Email & Social Media, then open Emails.
Click the Templates tab.
Click New, then choose Email Marketing Templates.
Browse or search the template library for a design you like, or start from a blank layout.
Preview the template, then click Choose template to open it in the email builder.
Step 2: Edit the email
In the builder, click any text block to change the wording, and swap images or adjust the layout as needed.
Click Save Template as you go.
To check how it looks in a real inbox, open the 3-dot action menu, choose Test Email, fill in the sender details and your own address as the recipient, then click Send Test Email.
When you are happy with it, click Back to return to the main emails page.
Step 3: Create the campaign
You can start a campaign in either of two ways:
Go to the Campaigns tab, click New, then Select Template and pick the one you just edited.
Or, on the Templates tab, open the 3-dot action menu next to your template and choose Create Campaign.
Step 4: Send or schedule
With the campaign open, click Send or Schedule.
Choose your recipients: all contacts, a smart list, or contacts with a particular tag.
Check the sender name and address, and confirm the subject line.
Choose whether to send now or schedule it for a specific date and time.
Review the tracking options.
Click Review and Send.
The campaign status moves from Sending to Sent once delivery is complete. Open the campaign afterwards to see opens and clicks.
Tips
Always send yourself a test first. It is the easiest way to catch a broken link or a typo before it reaches everyone.
Keep the subject line short and specific. It is the main reason someone opens the email.
Send to a tagged group rather than your whole list when the content only matters to some people. Smaller, more relevant sends get better results.
Saved templates can be reused. Duplicate a past campaign's template rather than rebuilding from scratch each week.
Troubleshooting
The campaign will not send: confirm you selected at least one recipient list and that your sender email is verified under Settings > Email Services.
The test email did not arrive: check your spam folder and confirm the recipient address you typed is correct.
Images look wrong on mobile: use the preview in the builder to check the mobile view and resize images if needed.
Low open rates: look at your subject line and the time of day you sent. Try scheduling the next one for a weekday morning.
